Ryan Infrastructure Services is a leading maintenance, repair, site work and specialty construction contractor serving large blue-chip industrial and government customers in the mid-Atlantic region.
Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance will be a key partner to the executive leadership team in the execution of the company’s strategic growth and achievement of financial goals. We are seeking a driven and adaptable leader with a high-level of attention to detail to support the CFO in enhancing the accounting/finance infrastructure, integrating add-on acquisitions, and taking a hands-on approach in the daily operations of the department.
Manage and execute the month-end close process, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting workbooks
Motivate, develop, and manage the accounting team to optimize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy
Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget process in collaboration with other members of the executive team
Help to identify financial and operational improvements and implement new metrics to drive strategic decision-making concerning expansion
Drive the integration of accounting functions for new acquisitions
Complete weekly flash/KPI dashboard and ensure data is relevant and accurate
Oversee payroll process/procedures/policies
Support internal and external audits
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
Must have 2 years of audit at a large regional/national accounting firm
Must have 2 years as an accounting manager/controller/similar
Experience managing payroll
Project-based/percent of completion/construction-accounting
Local/serious about relocation to be on-site in Suffolk, VA
CPA/master’s degree in accounting/MBA is a plus
Private equity/M&A/acquisition integration experience is valued
