In late 2022, the Company partnered with Boyne Capital, a Miami, FL-based Private Equity firm that seeks to forge lasting and collaborative relationships with companies whose founders are still deeply involved in growing their businesses.



Opportunity

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be a key partner to the executive leadership team in the execution of the company’s strategic growth and achievement of financial goals. We are seeking a driven and adaptable leader with a high-level of attention to detail to support the CFO in enhancing the accounting/finance infrastructure, integrating add-on acquisitions, and taking a hands-on approach in the daily operations of the department.



Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the month-end close process, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting workbooks
  • Motivate, develop, and manage the accounting team to optimize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget process in collaboration with other members of the executive team
  • Help to identify financial and operational improvements and implement new metrics to drive strategic decision-making concerning expansion
  • Drive the integration of accounting functions for new acquisitions
  • Complete weekly flash/KPI dashboard and ensure data is relevant and accurate
  • Oversee payroll process/procedures/policies
  • Support internal and external audits



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 2 years of audit at a large regional/national accounting firm
  • 2 years as an accounting manager/controller/similar
  • Experience managing payroll
  • Project based/percent of completion/construction-accounting
  • Local/serious about relocation to be on-site in Dallas, TX



Desired "preferred" Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA
  • Master’s degree in accounting
  • Private equity experience
  • M&A/acquisition integration experience
