Ryan Infrastructure Services is a leading maintenance, repair, site work and specialty construction contractor serving large blue-chip industrial and government customers in the mid-Atlantic region. 


Opportunity 

Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance will be a key partner to the executive leadership team in the execution of the company’s strategic growth and achievement of financial goals. We are seeking a driven and adaptable leader with a high-level of attention to detail to support the CFO in enhancing the accounting/finance infrastructure, integrating add-on acquisitions, and taking a hands-on approach in the daily operations of the department.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as liaison with the private equity sponsor
  • Establish financial policies, procedures, controls, reporting systems, and prepare ad-hoc cash flow forecasts
  • Manage and execute the month-end close process, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting workbooks
  • Motivate, develop, and manage the accounting team to optimize efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget process in collaboration with other members of the executive team
  • Help to identify financial and operational improvements and implement new metrics to drive strategic decision-making concerning expansion
  • Drive the integration of accounting functions for new acquisitions
  • Complete weekly flash/KPI dashboard and ensure data is relevant and accurate
  • Oversee payroll process/procedures/policies
  • Support internal and external audits

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • Must have 2 years of audit at a large regional/national accounting firm
  • Must have 2 years as an accounting manager/controller/similar
  • Experience managing payroll
  • Project-based/percent of completion/construction-accounting
  • Local/serious about relocation to be on-site in Suffolk, VA
  • CPA/master’s degree in accounting/MBA is a plus
  • Private equity/M&A/acquisition integration experience is valued
  • NetSuite/Airbase/Procore proficiency is preferred
